Your baggage and lockers

    Here you will find all the information you need to pack your baggage properly on board TGV INOUI. If you do not comply with the baggage policy, you will have to pay an additional cost.

    To remember

    You simply need to be able to carry all your luggage yourself at once.

    Labelling your baggage with your name and mobile phone number is compulsory. We can provide you with baggage tags, which you can obtain from our staff at the station and on board.

    Travel with suitcases

    Indications pour les bagages

    You can take up to 2 items of baggage per person, labelled to a maximum size of 70 x 90 x 50 cm (suitcase, large rucksack, hiking bag, sports bag) and 1 item of hand baggage labelled to a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (rucksack, shopping bag, laptop bag).

    You can take with you, per person, up to 1 item of baggage labelled to a maximum size of 70 x 90 x 50 cm (suitcase, large rucksack, hiking bag, sports bag), 1 item of special baggage labelled to a maximum size of 90 x 130 x 50cm (pushchair, folded scooter, musical instrument in labelled case, pair of skis in labelled cover, waterboard or snowboard in labelled cover, folding wheelchair) and 1 item of hand luggage labelled to a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (rucksack, shopping bag, computer bag).

    Details on special baggage

    You can take your pushchair with you, as long as it is folded (maximum 90 x 130 x 50 cm when folded).

    For safety reasons, the pushchair must be stored in a baggage area and not left on the platforms or in the passageway.

    You can take your scooter with you, electric or otherwise, as long as it is folded (90 x 130 x 50 cm maximum when folded). The use of a carrying case is recommended.

    To ensure the safety of passengers and our staff, folded scooters must be carefully stored in the baggage compartments. They must never be placed in the baggage areas above the seats.

    It is forbidden to recharge the batteries of motorised electric mobility devices (scooters, etc.).

    Motorised mobility devices (scooters, etc.) are not permitted on board trains originating or terminating in Spain.

    You can take your own pair of skis with you, as long as they are carried in a specially labelled bag.

    There is no size limit for skis, but each traveller may only take one pair.

    You can take your wakeboard or snowboard with you, as long as it's carried in a specially labelled bag measuring no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm.

    You can take your musical instrument with you, as long as it is carried in a specially labelled case (preferably rigid) measuring no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm.

    The equipment used by the disabled person during the journey is not considered as luggage.

    However, any additional equipment used by the disabled person (crutches or cane or walker or oxygen tank or folded wheelchair, etc.) is considered as baggage and must measure a maximum of 90 x 130 x 50 cm.

    Travel with your bike

    You must reserve a space for your bike when you buy your train ticket. The cost is €10 per bike per journey.

    If you are travelling with an unassembled, unfolded bicycle, you can take up to 1 piece of labelled luggage per person, measuring no more than 70 x 90 x 50 cm (suitcase, large rucksack, hiking bag, sports bag), 1 labelled double bicycle bag and 1 piece of labelled hand luggage measuring no more than 40 x 30 x 15 cm (rucksack, shopping bag, computer bag).

    It is strictly forbidden to charge the batteries of electric bicycles and motorised electric mobility devices on board TGV INOUI trains.

    Voyagez avec un vélo plié ou démonté sous housse

    If you are travelling with a folded or dismantled bicycle in a labelled bag, you can take with you, per person, up to 1 folded or dismantled bicycle in a labelled bag measuring no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm, 1 labelled double bicycle bag and 1 item of labelled hand luggage measuring no more than 40 x 30 x 15 cm (rucksack, shopping bag, computer bag).If your bike can be dismantled, it must be taken apart and placed in a labelled bag before accessing the platforms. If your bike is foldable, you can carry it by hand and fold it near your car.

    Not all bicycles are accepted on board TGV INOUI trains. Recumbent bicycles, tricycles, tandems, cargo bicycles, longtails, trailers, bicycles transported in a box and any bicycle larger than a conventional bicycle are not permitted.

    To reserve or not to reserve?

    Reserving a seat for an unmounted bike is only available on certain TGV INOUI trains. If your search does not produce any results at the time of booking, this means that there are no more places available for your bike. Folded or dismantled, stored in a bag (maximum 90 x 130 x 50 cm), it does not need a reserved seat.

    Failure to comply with the baggage policy on board TGV INOUI trains may result in the payment of a minimum of €50 per item of non-compliant or excess baggage (maximum €150).

    Failure to comply with the ban on recharging EDPM batteries on board TGV INOUI trains may result in payment of the sum of €150.

    Travel with TGV INOUI to and from Europe

    These rules also apply to TGV INOUI trains to and from Spain, Belgium, Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and Luxembourg. However, specific rules apply to Mes bagages on board TGV INOUI trains to and from Italy.

    Luggage storage

    • Your cabin baggage or other small bags: place them at your feet, under the seat in front of you or above your seat.
    • Your other luggage: leave it at the entrance or in the centre of your car, as well as in the free spaces on the floor between certain seats arranged back to back.

    Luggage, yes! Bulky items, no!

    To ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of all passengers (particularly in the event of fire, evacuation, on-board medical care, etc.), please do not obstruct the corridors and access doors of trains with your baggage and personal belongings.

    Responsible travel

    If you obstruct traffic in the corridors or improperly occupy a seat or luggage space, you could be fined €150.

    Is there any unauthorised baggage on board?

    Baggage is not permitted on board:

    • Does not comply with the rules detailed above;
    • Containing products :
      • Dangerous: edged weapons, firearms, explosives, flammable liquids (fuel, paint, etc.) or any other dangerous product (chemical, biological, etc.).
      • Unusual: perishable goods with an unpleasant odour or plants.
      • Prohibited by customs or any other administrative authority.
      • Intended for trade: products whose quantity and/or packaging unequivocally demonstrate that the passenger transport ticket is being diverted for the purpose of transporting goods that should have been the subject of a service provided by an operator specialising in this field.

    Can't find your luggage?

    Don't panic, just get in touch with one of our agents.
    When unidentified baggage is found, an announcement is made at the station or on board. If no one comes forward, the Vigipirate procedure may be activated.

    Instructions

    At some stations, you can leave your bags and suitcases in automatic lockers for between 1 hour and 14 days.

    For a 24-hour period, the price of the lockers is €7.50 (medium locker) and €9.50 (large locker).
