Erfurt

The capital of Thuringia, Erfurt combines history, culture and nature for a unique getaway.
The medieval city boasts a perfectly preserved historic centre, including the Krämerbrücke, Europe's largest inhabited bridge. St Mary's Cathedral and the UNESCO-listed Old Synagogue also bear witness to its rich past. The green city also offers the Ega Park and the Hainich National Park as havens of peace.
Hall

Renowned for its emblematic monuments, which are easily accessible on foot and bear witness to over 1,200 years of history, Halle is a veritable cultural crossroads. It's also the perfect destination to immerse yourself in authentic German culture, combining art, heritage and conviviality.
By taking a long-distance train, you reduce your CO2 emissions by 95% compared with flying*.

* Methodology and details available on :https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/fr/comparateur-carbone/ - Source: Base Empreinte ADEME 2024(https://base-empreinte.ademe.fr/) and Carbone 4 comparative analysis. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions expressed in CO2 equivalent (CO2e) for long-distance trains are calculated in accordance with the methodological guide to GHG information for transport services published by the French government and certified by the Statutory Auditors. These values correspond to an average expressed in passenger-kilometres and include the entire life cycle (use, manufacture and maintenance of the equipment). The comparison is made between a journey by long-distance train in France, by short-haul plane, by long-distance coach and by car, based on a mix representative of the French fleet (combustion-powered cars and electric cars) with an average occupancy rate (of 2.2 passengers for long-distance journeys in France, in accordance with ADEME data).
