Under article 10 of law no. 2025-379 on strengthening transport security (codified in article L. 2241-6-1 of the Transport Code), SNCF Voyageurs equips some of its sworn agents with individual hand-held cameras (known as "pedestrian cameras").

Audiovisual recordings are made from individual cameras and transmitted on a secure computer medium as soon as the employee returns to work, or in real time in the event of an immediate risk of harm to the employee carrying the camera or another employee.

The cameras and transfer media are equipped with secure technical devices to guarantee the integrity of the recordings until they are erased, and to ensure that operations can be traced.
